We are looking for a site Engineer
A Site Engineer is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and monitoring construction activities to ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The role involves reviewing engineering and architectural drawings, checking dimensions and levels, coordinating with contractors and subcontractors, and ensuring that construction work is executed as per project requirements.
The Site Engineer supervises various construction activities including excavation, foundation work, reinforcement, formwork, concreting, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, and finishing works. They inspect the quality of materials and workmanship, identify construction issues, and coordinate with project managers, consultants, architects, and contractors to resolve technical problems effectively.
They are responsible for monitoring daily site progress, preparing site reports, maintaining records, checking quantities and measurements, and assisting with material planning and procurement. The Site Engineer also ensures proper utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and resources to minimize wastage and maintain productivity.
Safety is an essential responsibility of the Site Engineer. They monitor site conditions, ensure compliance with safety procedures, and encourage workers to follow proper safety practices and use appropriate personal protective equipment. They also participate in site meetings, inspections, quality-control activities, and progress reviews.
A Site Engineer should have strong technical knowledge, communication skills, leadership abilities, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. They must be capable of working under pressure and coordinating multiple activities simultaneously. Overall, the Site Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring that construction work meets the required standards of quality, safety, cost, and schedule while contributing to the successful completion of the project.
